10 Days Motorbike Tour From Vietnam To Laos - Cross - Border Tour Vietnam - Laos

Day 1: Hanoi – Pu Luang. 180km. Home-stay.

Pick up and start the first day ride to the Northwest of Hanoi. Easy dirt trails & main roads, nice scenery along the Da River and bamboo forests. Dinner and overnight at the home-stay with Thai family.

Day 2: Pu Luang – Laos border –  Samnua. 227km. Guest house.

Say goodbye to the family and head down to Thanh Hoa Province, riding on a beautiful trail along the Ma River until Na Meo Town where we cross the border to get to Laos. The landscape suddenly changed in Laos side, quiet road, nice scenery, ride up/down many mountain passes. Dinner in town, overnight at a small family hotel in Samnua Town.

Day 3: Samnuea – Xieng Khoang (Plain of Jars). 240 km. Hotel.

A nice day ride over hills and high mountain passes. Visit some small Hmong villages on the way. Before arriving in Xieng Khoang, we will take a visit to the famous Plain Of Jars. Dinner in town, overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Xieng Khoang – Luang Prabang. 250km. Hotel.

Start the ride early as it’s a long day ride, still very hilly all the way to Luang Prabang. Some stops for taking photo of very nice view over high mountains and deep valley. Arrive late in the afternoon. Dinner in town, overnight at hotel.

Day 5. Luang Prabang. Hotel

A whole day free time or take the short tours to discover the ancient City of Luang Prabang and all its tourist attractions, a nice City with lovely food and plenty of things to visit. Meals by your own, overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Luang Prabang – Muang La. 240km. Guest house.

Leaving the beautiful city of Luang Prabang, we had up closer to the Northwest region of Vietnam, another long day ride but beautiful. Small paved road all the way from beginning until the end of the day. Many stops to visit the local villages of Hmong & Thai peoples. Dinner/overnight at guesthouse.

Day 7: Muang La – Vietnam border – Dien Bien Phu. 170 km. Hotel.

Head to the East where we will cross the border to get back to Vietnam. The landscapes change quickly once after the border, flat plain with rice fields and tree lines. Ride all the way down hill through the country of black Thai peoples until the spectacular valley of Dien Bien Phu, where we will stop for the night. Dinner in town, overnight at hotel. 

Day 8: Visit around Dien Bien Phu.

In the morning, take a visit to the region of the historical remains left from the French – Indochina War. Lunch picnic then continue the visit to the PC of Viet Minh Army located at 20km from the Town. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Day 9: Dien Bien Phu – Sown La. 180km. Hotel

Start riding down to the South to get to Son La. Ride up/down many high mountain passes, many stops on the beautiful Pha Din pass for photo and visit to the villages of Black Thai/Hmong peoples. Dinner in town, overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Son La – Hanoi. 300km.

Leave the high mountains of the Northwestern region, we head down to the South to get back to Hanoi, following the bank of the Black River until Hanoi. We end the trip in Hanoi.

TOUR COST

The following cost has been calculated for a party from 1 – 15 people. Please note that the cost is different depending on the type of motorbike that you choose for you trip.

Customers take single room at hotel, extra charge: $25 US /night.

• Motorbike as Honda or Kawasaki 150cc – 250cc – 300cc with material insurance
• Fuel
• Experienced motorbike Tour – guide/Mechanic.
• Meals as mentioned: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
• Accommodation (standard hotels 2 – 3 stars – Home-stay)
• Entrance fee to the sightseeing during the trip.
• Drinking water during the driving time.
• Support truck (Applied for groups from 5 riders)

 Exclusions:

• International air tickets.
• Vietnam & Laos visa.
• Travel Insurance. All persons are expected to arrange their own insurance. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance from home.
• Optional Activities
• Beverage and alcoholic drinks.
• Personal expenditure such as telephone, laundry, shopping and any other services not clearly mentioned in the program.

Confirmation

As per our company policy, booking will only be confirmed on receipt of advance deposit.

 Deposit and Payment

Deposit can be settled by cash or wire transfer 90 days at least before the departure. The balance can be paid by cash or credit cards upon your arrival in Vietnam.

 Amendment

There is no fee for any change or amendment you make prior to your final confirmation. Otherwise, amendment or cancellation fees may be charged (subject to Vietnamontrails tour supplier policy). Because we will launch the booking reservation immediately after we receive your final confirmation and starting from that point, service’s amendment/cancellation fees may be applied by our local service providers such as hotel, restaurants, airlines companies…

Please note that we will not charge you any fee if our service providers do not charge us.
